Many kinds of free papers (magazines) are handed out near subway stations. I happened to get one at Shibuya station. It was Pacchi Guu which is an ad magazine of pachinko parlors. The main purpose of the journey was to appreciate "National Treasure Yakushi-ji Temple" at Tokyo National Museum Heiseikan in Ueno Park. 今回の"東京遠征"の最大の目的・目玉は、 上野の東京国立博物館・平成館で開催されていた 「国宝・薬師寺展」である。 (6/8迄なので終了してしまった) I was looking forward to seeing "Standing figure of Nikko Bosatsu" and "Standing figure of Gakko Bosatsu". I went to the museum directly from Haneda airport. And what I saw there was the sign : At present there is a wait of 70 minutes, and a long line of people snaking away from the entrance. I stood in the line because of no other options. 国宝 日光菩薩立像と月光菩薩立像のご尊顔を拝するのを本当に楽しみにしていた。 羽田空港から博物館に直行したほどである。 しかし、そこで私が目にしたものは、「ただいま入館まで70分待ち」の看板と入り口まで幾重にも蛇行している文字通り"長蛇の列"。 しかたなく並びました。  Around ninety minutes later, I entered without any trouble. およそ90分後、無事に入館しました。 | |

今回、唯一の"A級グルメ" 北京宮廷料理 美食園 涵梅舫(カンメイホウ) 東京都新宿区新宿1-18-2 tel: 03-6280-7866 赤坂にもある。(というか、赤坂が先か) お店の Web Site ぐるなびの ページ グルメピアの ページ  シェフは何と! 崔玉芬さん(女性) 彼女は、中国国家認定高級料理技師の称号を持ち、 “料理の鉄人”(1999年4月2日 放送分)に 涵梅舫の調理長として出演。 中華の鉄人・陳健一氏に見事勝利を収める。  魚の浮き袋( an air bladder) のスープ コラーゲンたっぷり、やさしくマイルドな味で 体にやさしい薬膳(だと思うけど、違ってたらゴメンナサイ)的なスープ これだけでも、来てよかったと感激。  豚の角煮(だったと思う) メニューに奇をてらったものはなく、 むしろ、馴染みのあるものばかりだが、 その一品、一品が、まさに次元が違う。 Jリーグとプレミアリーグ位の差がある。  北京ダッグ半羽 (8巻) 予算的には、アルコール類を頼まなければ、一人10000円前後。 ただ、やはり中華は、4人以上で楽しみたい。 2人だったので、北京ダック、食べ切れなかった。 教訓 : The more, the merrier. (人が多ければ楽しみ多し) My friend took leftovers home in a doggy bag. と思ったのだが、帰る途中に立ち寄った飲み屋のネーチャンへの"お土産"になってしまった。 で、オネーチャンの"お持ち帰り"には失敗。 とにかく、一緒に行った友人(彼の薦めで行った訳だが)が、 ミシュランガイド東京は、星(1つは)を与えるべきだと強く主張していた。 また行きたい。 | |

"Bauhaus experience, dessau" 2008/4/26 〜 2008/7/21 Monday @ The University Art Museum, Tokyo University of Arts official site → here I was very surprised that ‥ 1、Some items in MUJI stores, which are famous for simple and practical aesthetics, are very similar to Bauhaus ones. 2、Several excellent artists such as Paul Klee and Vassily Kandinsky taught for the school. 3、They showed "Gesamtkunst" including photography and performing art. You can watch lots of short films of "Bauhaus Dance" performd by a trio of dancers, sitting in Bauhaus-designed chairs. A corner is set up like a mini-theater. この展示会を見て、驚いたこと、 1、シンプル・実用的で有名な「無印良品」のアイテムと(1900年初めの)バウハウスが似ていること。 2、芸術家としても超一流な、パウル・クレー、ヴァシリー・カンディンスキー等が教鞭をとっていた。 3、 写真、パフォーミングアート(音楽・演劇・ダンス等)を含む"総合芸術"を見せている。 "バウハウス・ダンス"と呼ばれる3人1組で演じられるダンスのショートフィルムを数多く、バウハウスデザインの椅子に座って鑑賞する事ができる。 この展示コーナーは、さながらミニシアターのようである。  Students and artisans studied and worked until late into the night. The light came out through the glass wall. The school building was called "the cube of light". It is designated as World Heritage. 「ディサウの校舎」 学生や職人たちは夜遅くまで勤しんでいた。ガラス・ウォールから光がこぼれる。「光の球体」と呼ばれていた。この校舎は世界遺産に登録されている。  You can enjoy an audio guide( player) narrated by actor Shousuke Yahara. "Bauhaus experience, dessau" 2008/4/26 〜 2008/7/21 Monday @ The University Art Museum, Tokyo University of Arts 「バウハウス・ディサウ展」 東京藝術大学美術館 Bauhaus in Berlin is certainly well known, but that in Dessau was not. One of the reasons is Dessau wsa in the former East Germany. It did not become well known until "The Unification". ベルリンのバウハウスはよく知られる存在であったが、 デッサウ市のバウハウスは、旧東ドイツに位置していたこともあり、 「東西ドイツ統一」まで、一般に知られることはほとんど無かった。  The functional and graphic beauty in the simple designs has heavily influenced modern art, fashion and acrchitecture.
